Do you think the doom and gloom reporting style of the media is impacting economical growth in the US?

Listening to the upcoming Gop canditates and main streat media, I notice that there are not a lot of positive or even encouraging words coming out of interviews, debates. I realise that the current president has tried that approach in the past by trying encourage everybody to do better, encouraging education and innovation without avail; he was touted as too liberal. Meaning what? This may sound a little silly, but as a business owner, I can tell you that few encouragong words go a long way to promoting productivity and profitability. Another way the media can contribute, is to focus on what is working instead of what is not.
